What does a bad day look like? Hi Fly hijinks over the Algarve

Algarve

Hi Fly’s Airbus A380 causes panic & joy after flying just 230m above Algarve coastline.

Hi Fly, a Portuguese charter airline headquartered in Lisbon, caused panic and joy as it flew over holidaymakers enjoying the Algarve beach. The Portuguese charter airline said the performance was planned and intended to raise awareness as well as give planespotters a treat.

After “buzzing” holiday goers at 800 ft., Hi Fly Airbus 380 tweeted:
“For those on holidays in Algarve, who knows you might be lucky enough to spot our majestic A380 “Save the Coral Reefs,”,planned to perform today an after maintenance functional check flight, overflying Faro and Vilamoura in the process. The biggest commercial aircraft in the world is expected to depart Beja at 2.30pm, and the flight will last around one hour. It will be flown by Commander Carlos Mirpuri.”

Alas, Hi Fly Airbus 380 bit the dust, so to speak.
