Horseshoe Play at Horseshoe Bay

The gorgeous setting of Horseshoe Bay Resort in Texas Hill Country is perfect for playing around. Waterfalls, exotic birds, rose gardens, and a trail. And you are invited to play horseshoes, among the Resort’s family-friendly or corporate activities, such as horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard.

Be sure to reserve your horseshoe session, if you are interested in playing. Each round is $75.00. The horseshoes are near the life-size checkerboard and the fire pit on the Great Lawn. S’mores at the fire pit on the Great Lawn are fun as well. The Resort has basketball courts; you can reserve a basketball from the Activities center.

Getting to Austin, Texas, and to the Resort

Around the picturesque shores of Lake LBJ, Horseshoe Bay Resort is the perfect destination for a Texas Hill Country vacation. Getting there is easy. Located in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, the resort is 58.8 miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, about a one-hour drive.

You may also fly in to Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Airport and Jet Center, with a lighted 6,000-foot runway for personal and business aircraft. Horseshoe Bay Resort’s private Airport and Jet Center features a 6,000-foot lighted runway for personal and business aircraft up to a regional jetliner. The airport also has aircraft parking, hangar space and fuel services.

The Resort Jet Center Team can handle all aspects of your group travel, including hotel accommodations, arranging meeting space, and shuttle service to and from our four championship golf courses. For landing reservations and information, contact us at 830-598-6386 or fbo@resortjetcenter.com.

Here’s a tip: During TapRooT®’s on-site visit, we hired a shuttle service to take us to and from the resort. Our staff had a great experience and didn’t have to deal with the stress of driving in an unfamiliar city.

Parking

Parking: The Horseshoe Bay Resort offers multiple parking lots conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel. Please visit the transportation concierge for additional information or call 830-598-7946. We also offer valet parking for $25 per night. 

Shuttle

Shuttle from Austin Airport to Horseshoe Bay Resort: Its an easy one-hour drive out Highway 71 west. The Resort also has a shuttle service available for a fee. You can call them directly at 877-611-0112.

TRANSPORTATION Transportation is subject to a fee, with the exception of the scheduled Tram rotation to the Yacht Club, Spa, and Marina; and the Shuttle to Cap Rock and Slick Rock on the hour. The fees apply to both Buses and Escalades and are as follows: (Club members receive a 20% discount) Group Airport Services / pick-up / drop-off (per person) Group transfer pricing is available for groups with 20 or more same day airport transfer reservations. So that guests may be grouped together where possible, Horseshoe Bay Resort Transportation requires that the individual ground transfer reservations, including flight information, be submitted by a manifest list a minimum of 5 working days in advance of the scheduled arrival, with the final manifest submitted 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival. Manifest will be provided within an excel format. Escalade -Austin-Bergstrom Transfer same day, from $360.00 round trip up to four passengers plus an 18% service charge. Escalade -San Antonio same day transfer reservations, from $420.00 round trip up to four passengers plus an 18% service charge. Mercedes Sprinter -Austin-Bergstrom Transfer same day, from $720.00 round trip up to eleven passengers plus an 18% service charge.
